New features and updates

1. API changes:
 a. The transactions API now lets you query for and filter by the authorization time of a given transaction, not just the settlement time.
 b. The transactions API now lets you query for the authorization time of **refunds** and not just settlements.
 c. The transactions API lets you query for the raw merchant description in addition to the sanitized one that we provide
2. Multi-entity businesses can now transfer funds between entities instantly for free (this was restricted to only a few multi-entity businesses in the past)
3. Added transaction ID + decline reason to the export as CSV
4. You can now filter transactions by the authorization date not just the settlement date
5. We can now handle incoming SWIFT transfers on Platinum (you can wire from an international bank into Slash)

Additional details on cashback redemption side panel

The cashback side panel now contains:

  1. A month over month breakdown of how much was spent, refunded, and earned in cashback on your Slash account.
  2. See your projected cashback rate for your current month of spending. This is especially helpful for customers with custom deals that require them to meet spend thresholds to earn higher amounts.
  3. A downloadable report of your month's transactions with the cashback you earned per transaction (helpful to see foreign transactions that don't earn cashback

Advanced details for card transactions

Every card transaction side panel now contains information about:

  1. The card that was used to make the purchase
  2. The authorization and settlement timestamp (toggleable by time zone)
  3. The location of the merchant with a map interface
  4. The cashback earned on a particular transaction
  5. The raw merchant description
  6. The merchant category
  7. [for declines only] The specific reason why a transaction was declined

Advanced transaction details on ACHs and Wires

Every wire and ACH transfer now comes with advanced data which can be helpful when helping counterparties track down payments you've made to them or vice versa.

Data available to you on every wire:

  1. Memo
  2. Account number of your counterparty
  3. Routing number of your counterparty
  4. Type code
  5. Subtype code
  6. OMAD
  7. IMAD
  8. Sender reference
  9. Business function code
  10. [Outgoing only] Account type of your counterparty (checking or savings)
  11. [Outgoing only] Address of your counterparty

Data available to you on every ACH:

  1. Bank your counterparty used to make the transfer
  2. ACH trace number
  3. ACH entry class code
  4. Memo provided by the recipient info for the transaction

New user role: buyer

You can now add users to your account that only have the ability to see specific cards, card groups, and their associated transactions.

These employees cannot edit the limits on their cards or card groups, but they can create cards inside of card groups that you've assigned them.

Randomized Expiration Dates

Previously, Slash cards would be issued with expiration dates exactly 5 years into the future from card creation. To minimize the risk of PAN enumeration attacks, Slash cards now have expiration dates at random dates in the future.

Receipt and invoice management

You can now attach files to all of your transactions on Slash, allowing you to always be audit ready. Files lying around your laptop are a losing games when it comes to an IRS audit. To keep yourself protected should you ever come up for audit, it's best practice to keep your receipts and invoices for at least three years—but even that might not be enough in some special circumstances. With Slash, you can now easily keep every receipt safely stored and accessible in digital format.

A new version of Slash is coming soon. It will let you:

1. Create an unlimited number of virtual and physical Visa cards.

2. Spend an unlimited amount per transaction (current Slash has a 10k per transaction cap).

Transactions Page Aggregations

Added "totals" to our transactions page. Added transactions page aggregations. By leveraging filters, you can now figure out cool things from your Slash dashboard like:

  1. Lifetime spend volume
  2. Lifetime wire volume from a specific counterparty
  3. Refund volume between X and Y dates from a specific merchant
  4. Sum of all ACH deposits between $5000 and $7000
  5. And anything else you can think of :)
